Happy Thanksgiving everybody! As we are all getting ready to feast on a turkey or some pumpkin pie today, I’m sure many of you are also getting ready to do some Black Friday shopping. So we are at it again with another gift guide for coffee gear, but this time we are putting our “wish list” items on it. This is the list for those wanting to spend a pretty penny for someone special (or perhaps yourself). We also have a budget gift guide that you can read here.
Again, this isn’t an exhaustive list. Just something to get you pointed in the right direction. Some of the prices may vary since I am currently grabbing Black Friday prices [Update: I have since updated the prices to their post-black Friday numbers]. Also, don’t forget that if you have any specific questions about coffee gear, you can reach out to us at hello@thecoffeenerds.co. Cheers!
Heads up: Some links on this blog are affiliates—we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Thanks!
Fellow Opus Burr Grinder: $195
Fellow makes some really nice gear. You probably spotted a few other Fellow products on this gift guide. Their grinders look amazing and right now is the best time to snag one during all the Black Friday deals. They also make the Ode Brew Grinder that is going for $199 currently.
If you are looking for other nice grinders, we also recommend the Baratza Encore or the Baratza Encore ESP.
Ratio Eight Coffee Brewer: $645
The Ratio Eight coffee maker looks amazing. I’ve eyed this brewer for a while now as it automates a pour over brewing method. They also have a smaller version coming in at $295 if that is more in your budget for a coffee brewer.
Counter Culture Blend Box Subscription: $32 per shipment
Counter Culture makes our list again with their box subscriptions. It’s a 3-month subscription, and each box comes with 2 bags of coffee. They also have a single-origin subscription that is $35 per shipment. We love their coffee and so their subscriptions are high on our list of recommendations.
Chemex – Classic 8-Cup: $48.93
The Chemex pour over is a classic. You just can’t go wrong with the look of brewing coffee with this on your counter. That’s why it made our gift guide. It’s great for entertaining if you want to brew for multiple people at a time. Don’t forget to get Chemex paper filters too!
Fellow Tally Pro Studio: $185
Fellow makes great coffee gear, and their digital coffee scale is no exception. Whether this is an upgrade or a first coffee scale, you can’t go wrong with the clean look and feel of Fellow products.
Wacaco Picopresso: $129.90
Wacaco is known for their portable espresso makers. We reviewed their Nanopresso here. The Picopresso is one of their newer models and is much more compact. For that barista always on the go, this is a great gift!
Mistobox – 3 Month Coffee Subscription: $60
I love Mistobox. Their subscription options are unique because they partner with 60+ coffee roasters in the US, so you get a variety of coffee from different roasters. Don’t forget to use MERRY15 at checkout to get 15% off your gift!
Siphonysta – Automatic Siphon Brewer: $499
This is a really unique coffee machine that we had the opportunity to try out recently. It takes the concept of a classic siphon brewer and automates the process. We posted a short review of it on Instagram. Really cool gift idea if you are looking for a unique option on this gift guide!
Fellow 20oz Glass Carafe: $50
Another Fellow product (because they are awesome). This glass carafe is double walled and looks great. Also, it is a fact that any time you use a glass server from Fellow, the coffee tastes better. Well, not exactly, but it certainly looks good! They have a 16oz carafe that is nice as well.
La Marzocco Linea Micra: $3,900
You’ve probably seen a La Marzocco at one of the coffee shops you visit. Their home espresso machines look absolutely amazing. The Linea Micra series have the smallest footprint and would fit in most kitchens. I’ve never used one before, but this is high on my list for when I have the opportunity. This would be an amazing upgrade for any home barista. If you end up getting this for someone, you will basically get free lattes for the rest of your life!
Timemore Chestnut C3 Pro Manual Grinder: $107.99
Manual grinders are really fun, especially for travel. If I decided to upgrade from my Porlex, I would choose this Timemore. I like the way the handle folds down for easy storage, and the outside of the grinder has a texture which won’t slip from your grip.
Onyx Coffee Lab – 3 Month Coffee Subscription: $65
Onyx Coffee Lab offers their own coffee subscription coming in at $65 for three months. I’ve always enjoyed their coffee and simple packaging. If you are looking for another coffee subscription option, Onyx makes it to our list.
Hario V60 Ceramic Pour Over Kit: $50.50
In our budget gift guide, we recommended a V60 starter kit which comes with a plastic V60 brewer. They have a ceramic option as well! If you are looking for a complete V60 brewing kit, this covers all the bases for making great coffee at home.
Fellow Stagg EKG Electric Gooseneck Kettle: $165
This electric gooseneck kettle from Fellow is another eye catcher. My favorite is the one with the wood handle. I’d need to remodel my kitchen in order to have coffee gear that looks this good sitting in it. Someday, I tell myself. Someday…
Hario Classic Siphon Brewer: $75.75
Now for the barista that wants to learn a new brew method and look super fancy, the siphon is that brewer. There is a learning curve, but once you master it you have the ability to create some serious coffee. It’s science!
Klatch 12-Day Coffee Advent Calendar: $100
Klatch Coffee offers a coffee advent calendar with some of their classic coffee. Give the gift of coffee for twelve days in a row this holiday season. This box is really neat gift idea, and if you wanted to splurge even more, they have a geisha coffee version for $300.
